About Jeremy R. Cousins
Cousins has recently returned to the Northeast after a decade in Austin, Texas. With a deep passion for ethics and social justice, he has brought his professional and lived experiences as an abolitionist to his work with the Austin Texas Parks and Recreations Department’s Museum and Cultural Program over the last two years. He has over 20 years of experience as a songwriter and storyteller, and was a segment writer on seasons one and two of the variety television show “the All Right Show with Ryan Shirley”, syndicated on Austin Public. In the summer of 2019, he wrote the first draft of his first book while living in a tent in the rocky mountains, and while In college and highschool, he tutored fellow students in paper writing. His dedication to social justice and equity solidified during his time at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where he was fortunate enough to have Noel Ignatiev, author of “How the Irish Became White”, as his American Government teacher.
